Humans are gifted with the remarkable challenge of living in a constantly changing set of circumstances. Just when we think we know the routine and how to manage, life comes up with a new twist or a new loss or addition to our load. We are forced to integrate new behaviors into our lives. This can be painful. This can be joyful. Sometimes we experience this with some degree of suffering. Sometimes we are in denial of the changes that are being asked of us. Sometimes it seems gosh darn near impossible! Thats when we look around for some help.
To keep our minds flexible and lively enough to embrace these new experiences is not always easy. Along with change comes the need to let go or the need to hold on with more determination. Again some help at these times can be extremely important.
The ‘help’ can come in multiple forms: exercise, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral changes , and medicines just to name a few. I believe that the work I do with people is helping them to experience their own life more clearly thus making it possible to choose the next step in their journey to a more healthy and fulfilling life.
