Trained at Yale University as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Carol Stampfer returned for her post masters certificate in psychiatry in 2003 at  Oregon Health Sciences University.

She is licensed as a both a family nurse practitioner and a psychiatric nurse practitioner in the state of Oregon and

She has taken special training in the areas of Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.  She has a continually growing practice of Mindfulness and imbues her practice with these .  From the early 80s she has been a student of family structural therapy and has studied interpersonal psychotherapy techniques throughout her career.  An ongoing challenge that she enjoys is keeping up with her fellow perscribers regarding  the latest advances  in psycho- pharmacology.
